Everything that is real, was imagined first.
–Henry David Thoreau
It's not enough to just provide information to our children and expect them to process that into something spectacular. It is incumbent on us to create opportunities for them to have fun but to learn in the process. It is equally important, in order for us to thrive as a community, that we embrace our cultural differences. In many instances our struggles are caused by a simple lack of knowledge, folklore or urban legend.
Our goal is to create a curiosity, ignite a passion, break down a barrier, remove a fear...all by giving our children the chance to see and do things they may not otherwise.
We aim to enrich the lives of children and celebrate cultural differences of all kinds, ALL FOR FREE IN A FESTIVAL IN AIRDRIE. Join us May 25 and 26, 2024 from 10am to 4pm each day.
Our mission is to host an annual Children’s Festival that promotes fun and learning and creates curiosity and stimulates creativity through four key activity areas:
A Children’s Village (uber fun playground), Inspiration Stations (accelerated learning), Workshops (hands on learning) and Children’s Entertainment (passive learning and fun). Further, our mission is to encourage inclusion by removing barriers to participation by removing or reducing cost.
Finally, our mission is to celebrate our cultural differences by highlighting, educating and providing opportunities to teach and share about multiculturalism within our community, region and province.
It's not about us, it's about the kids! If that's how you live your life day-to-day, then there is a good chance we have a place for you somewhere with the society or the festival. Whether its assisting in the Children's Village on the day of the festival, helping organize another event, making contacts with sponsors, or even being a gopher when we need it, there's a volunteer name tag ready to have your name on it. Heck, we are so new, we don't even know what we need just yet...so please contact us.
Sign up to be the first to know what’s new on stage, in the Children’s Village and the creative workshops we have planned!
